KANDIANA is a portfolio of prints created by Pat Egger and Mark Rice.
It recounts a phase of correspondence to Mat Park from the mythical synthesis of Indiana and Kansas, KANDIANA. Postcards were exchanged between the REAL cities of Warwick and Providence, Rhode Island over a period of 5 months. Then prints were made from the imagery exchanged in the postcards.
Included in each portfolio is a xeroxed book with a silkscreened cover. This book documents the exchange of all 32 postcards that were the inspiration of the series of prints that followed.
Each print is double-sided. On the opposing side of each print there is a unique silkscreened address complete with canceled two-color wood engraved stamp.
