“FLOWERS!” or… the alternative title: “Little Paintings about Social Anxiety, the Internet, Music Festivals, Debt, the Ocean, and Outerspace”
This series of miniature paintings (with attached stamen) is about a fixation on irrational anxiety. Heavily influenced by the meditative style of painting the “Dreaming” held by traditional Aboriginal artists, these paintings focus instead on the contemporary tradition of self-doubt, a fully-immersive (if not small-scale) study of unexplainable apprehension.
